Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Iconic Works

Book is great, beautifully made, wonderful to revisit the show, the work. Looks tuff and compelling sitting on that table….the cover is king!

I waited a long time to get this, but it was worth the wait. Of course any reproductions of his work pale in comparison. You showcased his work as well as the space. There is something about the cast shadows of the works that doesn't quite feel real. Not sure if that is editing. And I wish more of his work filled the pages instead of showing them set back in their frames.

We went to this show at the Brandt. It was amazing. So many paintings in one place.
